Highlighting current editor line
Hello!
First of all: WinShell is a great tool! I'm using LaTeX for more than a decade, and this is the best tool I discovered for writing LaTeX documents quite comfortably. I just looked around today which tool I can use writing my diploma thesis. Testing TeXMaker(X), TexWorks, TeXnicCenter, also my favorite plain editor Programmer's Notepad. This here's got many functions and the nice inverse search feature. ![]() So, coming to the point. The editor options for syntax highlighting are sufficient and not „overloaded“ like in some other tools. But I miss one thing: highlighting of current editor line. This indicates where my cursor is. When navigating through a document, this is a very fast indicator and saves searching for cursor. I made a quick example: http://www.picfront.org/d/7tbA Hope you can see that the current line is highlighted in light green. So, something transparent in that kind would be helpful. Doesn't need to be that colourful, just to distinguish the line from the normal lines with white background. This feature would be very helpful. Maybe you can have a look at TeXMakerX or Programmer's Notepad (www.pnotepad.org) to see what I think of... (and keep up the good work). ![]() |
